Plumbing Since 1995
I’m Gavin Evans, a local plumber based in Cinderford and covering the Forest of Dean.
I started plumbing when I left school in 1995 and set up my first plumbing business in 1999. Since then, I’ve spent my working life in plumbing and the water industry.
I actually like the small jobs
A lot of plumbers understandably concentrate on larger installations, heating systems and boilers.
I’ve gone the other way.
I specialise in the everyday plumbing jobs people often struggle to get someone to do — dripping taps, troublesome toilets, leaks, radiators, showers, pipework, water filters and general plumbing repairs.
No job needs to be complicated to be worth doing properly.
Plumbing backed by water-industry experience
My background isn’t limited to domestic plumbing. I’m a Level 3 NVQ qualified plumber and I’ve also spent many years working professionally within the water industry.

That experience gives me a particularly strong understanding of water supplies, leaks, water regulations and domestic water systems — useful knowledge when a problem isn’t quite as straightforward as it first appears.
Anyone can call themselves a plumber. I chose to qualify as one.

GEPS is deliberately a local, independent plumbing business.
When you contact the business, you’re dealing with me. When somebody arrives at your home, it’s me. And I’m the person responsible for making sure the job is done properly.
I aim to keep things straightforward: turn up when I’ve said I will, explain what needs doing, charge fairly and leave things clean and tidy.
Based in the Forest of Dean
I live and work locally and mainly cover Cinderford and the surrounding Forest of Dean.
After more than three decades in the trade, I’m not trying to build a huge plumbing company.
I simply want GEPS to be the local plumber people are comfortable contacting when something needs fixing.
